Meet Your Reps

I’ve been involved with Lincoln UCU in a number of roles over recent years, including two years as Health and Safety Rep, a year as Vice Chair, and six months as Acting Branch Chair. I’m pleased to be returning to the committee as one of the School Reps for Lincoln School of Creative Arts and Design.

I have considerable experience of UCU casework, supporting colleagues with both individual and collective cases, as well as representing and advocating for members in discussions with the University. I’m also a strong advocate for neurodiversity and for ensuring that neurodivergent colleagues receive appropriate understanding, support and reasonable adjustments in the workplace.

I see the rep role as an important way of making sure colleagues’ voices are heard, supporting members when they need advice or representation, and helping to maintain constructive dialogue between staff and the University. Having previously held both School and University leadership roles, I’m particularly interested in ensuring that colleagues are treated fairly, kept properly informed, and able to raise concerns with confidence.

Outside UCU, I’m an Associate Professor in the School of Creative Arts and Design, with teaching and research interests spanning music, creative health, social prescribing and the wider arts and humanities.
